I enjoy stories with vampires in them, but i’m not crazed :P I love love love the Anne Rice books, but i’ve only read a few so far, i want to read them all! I read Twilight because everyone else had and I wanted to see what it was all about, but i’m not really a fan :/ I’d like to start watching True Blood though!!

They’re ok. I’d rather read more realistic stories.

its not a craze . twilight just created a bunch of dumb people who couldn’t choose between bestiality or necrophilia. the only good vampire things that are around are anne rice, and the good old classics like dracula. and those aren’t a craze, lol, they’ve been around for a while. everything else is just dumb :/

sorry, i can be really blunt about this subject :/ out of the few things that get me really fired up, this is one of them…

Twilight isn’t cool in my mind… but True Blood is a guilty pleasure. I refuse to watch any of the other shows/movies, though.

I enjoyed the twilight saga and I own the first book because I like to reread it. I watched 5 minutes of the movie twilight and i’m like forget it. I don’t understand why people have such a big problem with vampires who sparkle! People say “VAMPIRES DON’T SPARKLE” well vampires also don’t exist so technically they don’t do anything or they can do everything xD ITs all in the imagination and story-telling

I love True blood! i cant wait for the new season to start. and w/ twilight: idk my feelings are mixed. i thought the books were good (except for New Moon, which was my least favorite of the series). The first movie sucked, the second was okay, and i’ll admit that i am a bit excited for the 3rd movie. but im not really obsessed like some crazy girls out there today.

I only respect and love Anne Rice mythologies and yes I’m a Lestat craze :)))). Love Vampire Chronicles.

Of course, that automatically means I despise Twilight and think it is definitely something for younger generations, since it has no literal value in any sense to me

THIS TWILIGHT THING HAS TO STOP. She was a mormon who had perverted/strange dreams about teenage vampire boys.

I like vampires, I like reading, I LOVE writing. But I believe that Stephenie Meyer doesn’t really like any of them. She just enjoys capitalizing on silly, half-assed, tweenage porn because she figured out that she could and still somehow get away with being religious at the same time. Clever only goes so far. I still see through it!!!!!

^ haha reybeltane!! :P
I read the Twilight books and yeah I thought they were engrossing enough, but i’m old and wise enough to be able to see the propaganda behind it and the wrong messages it sends out to girls!
I mean Edward is controlling and abusive :S Not to mention he sneaks into Bella’s room at night and stares at her, creepy! And Bella isn’t someone I’d think girls should aspire to be- she doesn’t have much of a personality and her whole life and happiness is based around a guy, which is unhealthy.
I don’t mind if you liked the books, after all they are entertaining enough as fiction! But if you want to base your future relationships on Twilight and think that Edward is your perfect guy, then there’s something wrong. And twilight mums just freak me out! :P
Oops that turned out to be a bit of a spiel, haha!!

Totally agree with Coldlight about Edward haha =D

What’s the storyline of the Anne Rice mythologies? I never heard of it! Ö Maybe because I don’t live in America =D

I don’t live in America but I read it. I seriously recommend Anne Rice. It is as real as fiction can be – in therms of describing how would it really be and how would it affect pesonas to live for centuries, describing different personalities and different problems, for example some vampires have issues with killing (Like Louis), some don’t and there are why’s and how’s to the whole idea of eternity and being a vampire – half human half beast. They are not sexually active creatures (since there bodies are dead) but they do feel love in a more morbid and more deep way I’d say.

The first in the Vampire Chronicles is Interview with the vampire and the sensitive vampire Louis tells his story, while the second book (my favorite) speaks about Lestat :) (you have 4 books in the chronicles, but more were written afterward).

More serious literal work than Twilight most definitely (beyond compare)

Few months ago I was sooo crazy about Twilight series. I thought 24/7 about those four books. I even had a folder in my laptop, where I collected pictures of my favorite vampires in the series.
But time has gone by and now I even don’t want to see those books or films. I’m so tired of that series.
But lately I started watching True Blood and now I’m crasy about it. Oh my…:)

I love vampires!
I’ve read the books by Anne Rice and completely fell in love with them.
I guess I began liking vampires because my older cousin (much older than me, since I’m 18 and she’s 30) used to read me the books of the vampire chronicles when I was little when she went to my house to babysit me =P
I do like twilight. I mean, is poorly written and so cliché but is fun and easy to read which is always good once in a while.
I like the vampire diaries, not as much though…
I’ve never seen true blood, I’m kinda curious though. What is it about? (besides it being about vampires XD)

I’ve always loved vampire stories. All the dracula and lestat movies, oh the romanticism. I admit I watch Twilight movies though I hate the books (read new moon, sucks so bad) but twilight is screwing up the romanticism that I find around vampire stories.

I admit to being a vampire reader in the past.
But it was a phase, because it all changed when Twilight became a movie and all the twi-hards went psycho. I do like all the cheese that Stephenie Meyers likes to write with, as it makes it laughable and enjoyable.

i don’t think i’m crazed but i don’t mind watching them. i haven’t gotten into the bandwagon yet of the twilight series but i do like watching vampire diaries, true blood is good too. oh and according to much music, the series that started it all, buffy the vampire slayer! i remember watching that when i was younger.
