I really love the sarah dessen novels… along for the ride, the truth about forever, and just listen are my favorites but they are all very good. My mom (who doesn’t like YA) liked those three as well.

I just finished along for the ride actually I loved it because I felt really attached to the main character. However, I’ve been advised to ready more “vocabulary stimulating books” so I’ve been searching on goodreads.com. You can search all kinds of books there even kid book :)

Hoped this helped.

Ohh, speaking of vocabulary stimulating…I had a bunch of books that I had to read for AP English. I really liked Animal Farm and The Picture of Dorian Gray! I hope that helps as well!

“The English Patient” is a really good romantic but not cheesy novel. and it’s a classic.

I’d recommend The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson, or any of the Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett. My friend recommended Outlander by Diana Gabaldon recently, but I haven’t read it yet :P

I’m loving Something Blue by Emily Giffin. She currently has about 5 or 6 books out now. I suggest you check them all out and can choose one you enjoy. :)

Currently reading “To have and to hold” a novel by Jane Green. about an avg girl who is married to “Mr. Perfect” who is not so perfect but is a serial adulterer. Quite interesting actually. I randomly picked it up at a thrift store

I have my fair share of guilty pleasures (romance) but i just retrieved two books from the clutches of other Goodwill patrons…
Kurt Vonegut-Slaughterhouse Five…which is interesting
and
Gabriel Garcia Marquez-One Hundred Years of Solitude…which is gorgeous
