You know a couple of posts back I stated that I’d feature some of my newly thrifted items in some outfit posts coming soon? Well, ta-daa! This pinafore style dress was purchased recently for a rather inexpensive £3! I adore the fit of it and how it brings me back to my primary school years.I’m somewhat going through an episode of dressing like a pre-teen, thus sporting mixes of tartan, pinafore-style dresses and dinky, peter pan collar numbers. Coupled with my duffle coat, I sported the ‘wear yourself young’ look, sure to deter pretty much all of the male population! Anyone?
On another note, yesterday I spent the entirety of the day out shopping in my local city! Unfortunately, I was unable to find my debit card (typical me) so I had a lack of funds to spend on some new clothing pieces, but I did enjoy doing some window shopping. It’s made me want to save my money to invest in some more unique vintage pieces than spending the majority of it on the Topshop website. I like the idea of having pieces that others don’t wear and I feel somewhat gratified by the idea that one of the things I’m wearing has a sort of history to it, as well as being completely individual. There’s nothing more annoying, for me, than seeing someone wear the same piece as me, especially because I like to look unconventional. I’d like to know your stance on this issue, do you find it irritating seeing someone wear the same item as you in the street, or are you not bothered?
